Salvation Army Event July 2025

On July 18th, 2025, a new annual event was launched, proudly brought to life by Chilliwack's Salvation Army and Zoey's Pawsome Pets Society. This initiative stemmed from the vision of one of our directors, who was passionate about not only raising awareness for our organizations but also extending a helping hand to vulnerable members of our community. With this mission in mind, we reached out to dog rescue groups, local pet stores, and pet food manufacturers to turn this idea into a meaningful reality. 

The response was overwhelmingly positive! We received generous support from Heart and Soul Dog and Cat Rescue, Bosley's (Yale Road location), Horizon Pet Food, Oly's Pet Connection, and Little Paws Rescue Society. Together, we collected over 31 boxes of pet food and supplies, a contribution that made an incredible impact. 

The event itself was a tremendous success. Running from 10 AM to 4 PM, we were able to provide assistance to over 100 pets in need. Our ongoing partnership with the Salvation Army now allows us to distribute flyers to clients in need of pet food, ensuring continued support for our community's furry friends.
